IS THIS WHAT CHURCH IS FOR THIS "SEASON"?

I attend church for social reasons and to learn more about my God and Savior, Jesus Christ.  But I am beginning to think the church of the 2000s is not what it should be.
We are told assemble together to pray and edify one another.   To worship and learn as well.
BUT, I am beginning to wonder if a church is for Christ followers to gather together and share.  Or is it a place  for the worldly to feel better about their weekly lifestyles.   It just seems that Christ followers would want to live a life that glorifies God.  We should seek Godly wisdom and not worldly.  There is a difference.  In James 3 we learn of this.
I know of a church where the majority are a group of "best friends"  The pastor seems to ignore the life styles of those who attend his church.  There are people who only post photos of themselves partying it up with mixed drinks, shots and beer on the public media.  Yes they go to church and pretend they are followers of Christ.  I feel what people put on public media shows where their "treasure" is.   Then there those who have no interest in what is being said.  Women serving communion.  Children who are not Christ followers participating in communion.  Communion is a very special thing, Not to be taken lightly.  People who only attend church when there is a meal to be done before or after church service.  There is no commitment to attending church.  There are also people who think it is ok for unmarried people to live together as they were married.  People who talk on and on about things of Bible nature, yet they know not what they are talking about "Know it alls" who dominate conversations.   People who read their Bibles, yet don't do what it says.  They treat other badly and have foul mouths that spew out cuss words.
So do we let those who badly need Jesus to attend, but say nothing about their life styles?  Do we only have churches with those who are very interested in what God has to say through the Bible and they live their daily lives trying to glorify Him in all they do?  Am I being to judgemental?

SO MANY DIFFERENCES

I have visited many different churches throughout my lifetime.  Most do things the same,  but in different ways.  I feel that whatever a church does to worship and honor God is OK.  What matter the most is if they believe that God sent his son , born from a virgin, to die on the cross and be risen.  Jesus is his son and Mary is Jesus' mother.  Also what is important is that the church believes the whole Bible is true and that it is God's word.  I just wanted to write about some of the differences I has seen.  None of them are wrong in my opinion.

Offering: Some churches take offering at the end of the service, some at the very beginning, some in the middle and some just have a box where you deposit your offering on your way in or on your way out.

Communion: I have been to many churches who pass the cup just the same way they pass the offering plate and the whole church drinks at the same time.  Then they repeat with the body of Christ.  For the body of Christ, there have been oyster crackers, little unleavened bread or something else.  I have also had both the cup and bread passed at the same time and you just take communion on your own.  I have been to churches where you walk to the front for communion.  One time everyone just tore off a piece of bread from a large uncut loaf.  Some have little or large disc's.  As for the blood of Christ (the cup) some churches  use grape juice or real wine.  I was surprised at I took communion at one church and the cup had real wine in it.  Children also get the same cup of real wine.  Some churches use koolaide.

Music:  Very formal large choirs, or very casual choirs.  Some churches have a band and some just a piano.  Huge organs are found at some churches.

Big pulpit's or little ones.  Some pastors just stand before the parisheners and talk without a microphone.  Even microphones are
different.

I enjoy the differences.

Church?? What is it exactly

People go to "church"  We are told to be a part of our "local" church.  Support your local church, we are told.  There are so many churches.  Some in big buildings with lots of people.  Some in little one room buildings with just a few people.  There are churches who meet outside.  So what does it mean to belong to a church?  Worship together with at least one other person..this makes a church.  Jesus should be the main point / focus/ person of this group of people who are meeting together.  Worshiping our Lord Jesus is done in so many different ways because there are so many different churches.  We are free to worship how ever we want to.   No one should critisize how someone worships unless what they are doing is sinful or it doesnt glorify God and His Son.   So with all this said, it is ok for me to worship with whomever I want to and not feel guilty because I am not attending a big building with lots of people.
